Comp Cams - Do they eat rocker arms?
Hello,
I have a set of Comp 57200 cams that I want to install in my B16A2, I have heard that these ruin the rocker arms.
Has anyone heard of this before or is it just a myth?
Thanks

Where would I be able to get ahold of a moly based assembly lube?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Any cylinder head assembly lube will work just fine. Best thing to do is grab a gob of it in your hands and stroke your new stick (
) full of lubrication.
If they ate away at rocker arms, they wouldn't make them at all.

Eating rocker arms only happens when no assembly lube is used or if the valves are over adjusted putting to much tension on the entire valvetrain assembly. Install any cam improperly and over adjust the valves and this kind of thing will happen.
Excellent so these cams will be going on then
Should give some nice power gains once they're on
civicsit - What intake manifold you going to run on the GSR motor?

Does anyone know what the cam timings should be on a B16A2 with these cams?
Int = +2
Exh = 0
I might setup the cam timings to this.
Once I have time and money I will tune the cams properly.

Hey i was wondering what stage cams u got, cause i heard that comp only makes stage 1 and Full Drag. Is that true? Also what do they usually run for?$ thanks
Comp do 3 stages.
57100 - Stage 1
57200 - Stage 2
57300 - Stage 3
They do a stage 4 aswell but thats for real racing...no need for that

I've been runnin the 57200's in my mildly bult B18C1 for 1400 miles, no probs so far. Make sure u get matching valve train or a valvetrain that will handle the cams(skunk, kms, ect..)
You'll never know good cam timing till u strap it to the dyno...

Can you run these cams on a stock valve train. I know type r and skunk 2 stage 1 you can.
