Default Rocker arms

With the racing season over I am curious. How many of you check your rocker arms for wear? How often are you replacing them? I'm putting a third set of cams, second set of large cams, in my head with 45,000 miles on the rocker arms so I figure either way it's time.

Thanks

I check mine and if one looks like the pad is showing signs of wear I replace it. I run OE cams and don't rev high though so, my valvetrain thanks me for that .

Glad to hear I am not the only one checking mine I run aftermarket camshafts with large lobes and rev quite a bit higher

I take a look at mine when I pull the head. I have never had an issue or noticed any excessive wear.

I've only had to change a few and they've all been on LS heads. Not sure if it's coincidental or not.

quit talking about ***** and shafts

All the rockers I've encountered have been fine, but most of the heads I have don't see too much abuse except for a couple

my exhaust ones needed replaced, they were wore noticably, you could feel a slight sink, then back up at the shaft side.

they had 184k on them, the last 5k on sk2 stage2s, 25k before that ITRs, and all the other miles were stock gsr.

i replaced them with some 16k b16 units, hope i never have to buy another set, 150 almost per eachset from honda at discount. thats 1200 for all 8 sets

Yep. Not cheap at all. Not fun to replace either.
