Default B18C6 + 97 EJ6 = Which AEM Intake (Short Ram)

Which intake should I use for a 1997 EJ6 with a 99 ITR in it? I have to use a short ram intake because there's no hole for the cold air intake. Or should I just get a cold air intake for a type r and just hack it up to fit? I haven't checked with any other manufacturers, but I kinda want to stick to the AEM joint. Thanks. and here is a picture, if anyone cares...

You shouldn't have to hack up the itr intake as it takes a different route into the fender well.

Use an intake from a 99-00 Si.

Do I have do do anything special to make it fit or will it just slide right on?

It should slide right on. If you think about it logically, all you're looking for is a CAI that will work with a B series engine in a Civic and an Si came with one stock. Problem easily solved.

Yep, and the Intake Manifold is in the same direction as the B16, it isn't like the stock GSR one that is retarded. Just buy an intake for an 99-00 civic Si.

That probably would be the best choice, but i think he's concerned with his HX as it doesn't have the hole going to the fenderwell like the ex's.

yeah reading comprehension owns me!

but I would use a plasma cutter or something if you really want the cold air, personally I would get the short ram a cold air intake really ain't that much better and you will not have to worry about hydrolocking your motor. To me CAI are over-rated, I mean damn it is just an intake.

so basically if you want to get the CAI I would agree...
