Type R front lip
well, i just bought a type R lip for my car.. went to put it on, and what do u no, doesnt fit.. sticker says for a 99-00 civic.. but its like an inch short.. so me and my friend tried to stretch it.. put bolts in it and it cracked alittle on each side.. its stable .. so we just filled in the cracks wit fiberglass and bondo.. why dont these things ever fit right?
well the fact that we did it in the cold probally didnt help much but that thing was hella short
now this means fiberglass and more work. after i get done with it you wont be able to tell

yeah mine has a gap on the right side.. i dont understand whats so hard about making a bodypart for a car to fit right! anyone ive ever known that has put a aerodynamic part on there car says it neverrrr fits right.. always gotta do somethin.. so yeah me and xfrankx gotta do some fiberglass work and it should be ok!
OEm owns you...
Mine fits fine, it will evene stay on with no screw or clips or anything...
Isn't the SI and Type R lip the same? You should have justy gotten an OEM SI lip...

I have a mugen style lip, and when I got it, it came up a little short too. I kept trying to stretch it over, then I figured out that if you pull it up from the bottom, it'll slide right on nice and snug.
we sorta just pulled on it real hard and u no how plastic turns like white when it bends? thats what it did.. then when i was screwin it in it cracked.. no biggy i already filled the 2 little cracks in.. but the reason i didnt buy an oem 1 was because i only paid 10 bucks for the lip
dude i bought it off of bought one online and they accidently sent him 2.. so he just sold me the other 1

even oem lips can be funny. i have oem front vti-s lip on my 97 ek4 and fits fine but where t sides meet bumper theres slight gap.
my oem ek9 rear lip doesnt sit flush with bumper a in a lot of parts either

yea this is the reason i got out of the autobody business haha. **** never fits right. i expected it not to fit as soon as i saw the lip and saw it wasnt oem. its no suprise but ill make it work. expect some pics too just to show what we were dealing with.
