Default Type R front lip

well, i just bought a type R lip for my car.. went to put it on, and what do u no, doesnt fit.. sticker says for a 99-00 civic.. but its like an inch short.. so me and my friend tried to stretch it.. put bolts in it and it cracked alittle on each side.. its stable .. so we just filled in the cracks wit fiberglass and bondo.. why dont these things ever fit right?

OEm owns you...

Mine fits fine, it will evene stay on with no screw or clips or anything...

Isn't the SI and Type R lip the same? You should have justy gotten an OEM SI lip...

I have a mugen style lip, and when I got it, it came up a little short too. I kept trying to stretch it over, then I figured out that if you pull it up from the bottom, it'll slide right on nice and snug.

we sorta just pulled on it real hard and u no how plastic turns like white when it bends? thats what it did.. then when i was screwin it in it cracked.. no biggy i already filled the 2 little cracks in.. but the reason i didnt buy an oem 1 was because i only paid 10 bucks for the lip dude i bought it off of bought one online and they accidently sent him 2.. so he just sold me the other 1
