motor mount problems
Hey, sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find it in all the "motor mount" threads. How can you tell if you just need to replace the inserts, or the whole mount. Cuz I managed to find a curb and my front bumper found the wall, and now my mount is leaking REALLY bad. I am assuming I need to replace the entire thing, but I'm not sure cuz I dont know what caused it to break. I'm guessing the jolt of stopping so quick caused it, but again, I'm not sure. TIA.

I'm pretty damn sure you have to replace the whole mount if the fluid filled one pops.
EDIT: If you've ever seen motor mount inserts you'd understand. The ES inserts go inside the two lower torque mounts (right by the tires) and the rear mount.

Thanks for all the input, I definitely plan on replacing it, but I have a little dilemna: I have to drive home from San Diego to Sacramento (~500 miles), but I'm not sure if 1) I will have time or money to get a new one before I leave and 2) if I find one, I'm not sure if I will have time to install it because of finals. Do you guys think it's up to the drive if I replace it right after I arrive in Sac? Thanks.
