This is my tranny mount, should there be a gap like that from the rubber to the metal?



It isn't worn or anything, looks like it came like that. I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure that is a mount from my stock engine which the b16b coincidentally fit in.. Can one of you b-series junkies check your mount to see if it's different?

Yup, that way you could get a little space for moving up and down or back and forth and what not.

 

Well that's good and bad. Bad because I can't find out why my driver's side lugnuts keep shaking loose..

 

replace the studs and the lugs... done deal!

 

two of them are brand new..
Somebody told me to put a little bit of locktite on the lug bolts to help keep them on, but all 16 lugs are always tightened to 80 ft/lbs and this is the only wheel having problems. I'm just trying to figure out what could be causing it instead of temporarily band-aiding it.

 

did there happen to be hubcentric rings on the hub you forgot to remove perhaps?

Are the wheels hubcentric or larger than the hub?

 

Torque them down to 80ft, go aroudn the block and retorque them. Sometimes theyll come loose.

But yes what Emerika said could also be true, are they aftermarket rims, is everything centered on the hub and level?

Also your crossing them right?

ya thats cool! as far as the studs, i have never heard of that happing

 

the mount is fine...spend 30 bucks and get the energy suspension inserts, I did and my motor is rock solid now no torqueing at all, vibrates a lot at the light but runs firm down the strip.

for the lug nuts, does the that side vibrate at all as you drive, Ive seen a hub with bad bearings wiggle a tire loose on the track, fucked up his studs and rim.
what ever you do...DO NOT LOCKTITE YOUR ****! if youve ever drilled out a stud you dont want to do it ever again. (split a allen key lug nut!)

 

They are 00 Si rims, and yes I cross-tighten the lugnuts.
