Default what parts of a b16 should i keep when swapping to gsr

hey i have a 94 si civic hatch i'm selling my b16 motor and going for a gsr, i was wondering if i could/should stay with the b16 axles, shift linkage?????

anything else that i should keep(i can't keep the tranny or the head...so i'm talking about little things)

also can i use the 94 sohc vtec d16z6 engine wire harness, injectors, ecu, and distributor wiring with the gsr?????

by the quote "most b-series axles and shift linkage are the same", i assume they are the same. perhaps the motor mounts too. you can use the d16z6 harness for obd1 gsr motors. i'm not sure what else.

Keep the b16 axles and shift linkage, it will work.

the d16 injectors, ecu and dizzy won't work however. You may be able to modify the harness to work (thats how mine is done) but its a pain in the ***.

keep anything you can off of the B16, becuase chances are, you can use it, and if not, you can sell it :-)

check this out i have everything for the sohc d16z6 vtec, and everything for the b16a2 EXCEPT the engine wiring harness,

cliff notes: what are the differences between obd1 and obd2 gsr's and what do i have to do to make them work with my p28 and chassis harness

when i was going to install the b16 i had planned to use the stock 94 single cam engine harness, chipped ecu, injectors, and wired the extra plug at the distributor since the b16a2 has a obd2 dizzy, my question is, will this process also work with either a obd1 or obd2 gsr???(i'm not sure which one i will get since i'm going for whatever i can find first)

if this method wont work for the gsr, then i assume i will need the gsr engine harness and supposedly it plugs into my civics chassis harness, but will i need to mess with the distributor, injectors or ecu (i have a slunk2 p28)

if i keep my b16 head and tranny, i know they bolt up to the gsr block if i just buy a gsr block, but my question is will they be a literally plug and play type of thing???? because i have NO MONEY or resources to do any kind of modifications to the block, so i'll basically just buy the gsr block and put the b16 head as is

i have heard that when putting the b16 head onto a gsr you lose more compression than just swapping a regular gsr...

if you look at the bottom of the gsr head you'll see that the ports are oval, and the b16 and itr heads are circular, so when you mate it to the gsr block there is a loss of surface area
