It's not ideal. there is a reason people don't just weld 1/4" wide bars across their exhaust or manifold runners. I have read that you can grind out the divider, giving you better flow and a larger A/R

When ever I do A mani. for a divided housing ,I split it off to two.Like a small
2 to 1 merge.Just so it has a better transition.Plus it works the same on one without a divider
