Default SOHC Compression Gurus, Who Knows There Stuff

Im hoping for someone to give me a compression ratio.

This will decide for me whether or not I go 16 pounds of boost or a 150 shot.

Setup:

A6 head, milled .040
A6 block with SRP 9.5:1 pistons

Now, I think I really want to go with boost, but feel my compression may be to high

If anyone could help me out on what headgaskets are available, the cheaper the better as I know people blow them quite a bit, but the more I can lower the compression safely will help me, I also have aftermarket head studs

I am limited to 93 octane and this will be my first F/I setup, if the comrpession is to high for DD on pump gas then Im just gonna go ahead and spray a direct port 150, cheaper, probably faster in the 1/4 but wont always be there

Hard decision, LMK

Thanks

Were the pistons designed with the a6 combustion chamber in mind? Are they specifically for an a6? If so, then you figure the .040 mill will add about .7-8 points to the c/r of 9.5:1...if the pistons are not specifically for an a6, then there is no way to tell without measuring.

I am assuming this block is sleeved; what turbo, what rods are you running and what engine management?

I think turbo is the way to go, but-

If you are not concerned about it always being there, then it might be a good idea to juice it; spend the money on a fuel cell and associated parts, and go with the nitrous...it will be waay cheaper than the turbo kit, you can sell those 9.5:1 and get some higher comp. pistons. This way the engine will be pretty peppy off the bottle. The higher the compression, the better it will react with race fuel and juice and the faster you go.
