yes it is the temp sender...no it does not turn on the fan. on your original engine the fan switch is on the back of the block with two bullet terminals..i believe the vtec engine the switch is on the t-stat housing with a different style connector small round two wire

Badway is right!! I just did a D15-b installation, and the connection for the fan is on the termostat housing. What I did is resodered the wires off my harness to the connector on the housing, and it worked perfect... Hope this helps..

doesn't matter which goes where. the switch only closes the circuit ie:connects the wires together when the temp is up to turn on the fan

I've got that same engine. So where do I connect those two wires?

As of right now, those two wires are cut...could this be a reason why my temp gauge isnt working?

the temp guage sending unit is the single bullet connector on the head near the distributor.

my fan dosent come on, temp never goes up. Its also cold.

The one on the side of the head is for the indash gauge, the one on the back of the block is for ecu and/or fan

and, the 2 wire connector on the end of the head is the coolant temp sensor for the ECU
