Default Question about headlight bulbs

ok so i know pretty much nothing about my headlights. when i bought the car used it came with PIAA's whcih are pretty dayum nice. They were a sort of blue-purple color. Three months later as im driving down the road the passanger side one goes out. >_< and me not having the money went out and got some 15$ super white bubls. and i wen tthrough 2 sets of em bcuz they kept on going out!! ( not both side just one side at a time) i checked with the PIAA's i had on them and the ONLY difference is that the cheap bulbs i got were 100W instead of 55W like the PIAA's. Could that be why they keep on goin gout? What compnay makes a good after market set of bulbs for my type s. I dont liek that shitty yellow stock color light.

Save up for HID retrofit and be happy later.
Stop wasting money on aftermarket bulbs.

100 W bulbs have a limited life compared to normal wattage bulbs, I think around 50 hours or something. If you want to run high wattage bulbs you should invest in a harness from suvlights.com.

running 100W bulbs on a 55W harness (your stock harness) will run a risk of a fire hazard. if you run those bulbs and your engine catches fire..whoahhh nelley. you better get a fire extinguisher.
