if your using the tranny and shift linkage from the GSR swap, i would assume you would use a short shifter for a GSR.

They will both fit the same. Most short shifters have a narrow bottom piece that will fit either Civics or Integras (vs. the wider bottom piece on stock Integra shifters). For Integras you just add spacers. They'll both fit the same, it's just a preference of whether you want the shifter leaning back in neutral (Civic) or straight up in neutral (Integra, and my preference).

Just make sure you use an Integra linkage, otherwise it will look like you're in 3rd when it's actually in neutral (shifter leans forward ).

While were on this topic Ive noticed in the past youve got some knowledge on short shifters.

I bought the car used and I have no idea if the Shifter is shorter, or if its stock, Is there anyway I can tell this?

It does have a gunmetal skunk 2 **** on it, Which i had to modify like others to get the numbers to line up...

several ways to tell...
if you can look at your shifter, a stock shifter is black, with thick welds that are probably a little rusty.
the length of the shifter between the pivot (ball) and the bearing (cylinder welded on the bottom) is a little over an inch. a short shifter will be longer.
a short shifter is usually not black, but a color like silver, blue, red, and probably very shiny.
a short shifter will most likely not have any visible welds.
happened to have my stock shifter handy. hth
