I guess I just figured ITR owners may know something about a CTR engine. Engine has an Injen CAI, JDM ITR header, 2.5 inch exhaust and Mugen twin loop muffler.

TIA

Maybe Ed (Zygspeed) will see this thread; I believe he used one with his old CW for a while...

Mugen made a separate ECU for the B16 -- you're better off asking in the EG+ forum.

Anyhow, better gains can be had for less money i.e. Hondata, etc.

I was at a dyno day last week and a guy with a JDM teg Si (same as GSR) done two runs, first with his OE ECU and another with a Mugen N1 ECU and gained 6bhp peak. (engine was heavily modified and he made 179whp on first run and 185whp with N1 ECU) Not a lot of gain for a lot of money!

thats just peak. i'm guessing the N1 improves more midrange than peak

don't waste your time on that ecu, for the price, it's a novelty piece, like dude said earlier, all it did was lower my vtec. suck a lot of gas, and maybe a bit of hp. it's not worth it for the price

What I'd like to know is, even if one found out what would he do with the info about the gains from the Mugen N1 ECU for the B16? About only thing you could do would be able to do is ECU flash the program. I don't think you would be able to find a Mugen N1 ECU for the B16 easily.

Funny you should say that Lloyd; there are 2 EK9 ECUs on Yahoo Japan Auctions right now

I wouldn't trust a "Mugen" flash myself.

I'm curious b/c I bought a civic w/ lots if R goodies and and the above mentioned ECU. This is the only ECU I have so I can't compare dyno's with it and a different one. I'm not interested in reflashing it or anything like that, just curious.

Oh OK!

The way it sounded in your original post was that you were looking for it at this particular point in time and you wanted to know what kind of gains you would get.
