Default EF with OBD1 Dizzy write up...

I have both pics. of the ignition wiring diagrams from a 91 HF and a 92 GSR. I just want to simplify the need to look for a write up about this type of instalation.

This way if you want to run an OBD1 dizzy in your EF you'll have no problems.
Here's the info.
OBD1 schematic......................................... ......OBD0 schematic:

BLK/YEL= ignition switch....................................Same colors
YEL/GRN= ECU............................................... ..WHT
BLU= Tachometer........................................ .....Same color
WHT=TDC/CRANK/CYL sensor input...................BLU/YEL
ORN= TDC/CRANK/CYL sensor output................BLU/GRN
BLU/YEL= Crank input.......................................WHT
BLU/GRN= Crank output....................................ORN
WHT/BLU= TDC input........................................Same colors
ORN/BLU= TDC output......................................Same colors

Hope this helps...

"ALL DATA" info.

Can we make this a sticky???

So this is whats needed to modify an obd1 distributor and run as an obd0 set up on and obd0 car, or are you going an obd1 setup?

Just want to clarify......

you know what i heard is that you match up like colors, you need to switch wht, orn, bul/yel, and blu/grn to match each other.

you match up like colors, i also heard you will get a code 4 if you run a obd1 dist with your obd0 ecu

This does not work with all OBD0-1 conversion harnesses. This only works on harnesses that are built function for function. Also, this is only for OEM distributors. Distributor king distributors and some non-OEM distributors do not always have the same colors.

Yes this is specific for a 92 GSR and a 91 HF. If the GSR's dizzy is the same as other OBD1 then it'll be the same...

this will only work if you are going to obd1, so you can just repin the plugs, and not have a adapter harness on the dizzy,

Man... This is a useless thread! Can someone lock this please!

There are too many factors here... As Jason said(blown90) there are too many issues to say this.

1) you must have a obd1 ecu (the rotations on a obd0 ecu are different)
2) the ecu jumper must be a http://www.rywire.com style
3) the dizzy must be OEM HONDA, not aftermarket

Then yes, color to color will work
There is just too much misinfo going around to say that there is only 1 way to make it work.
