BIG RIM ON SMALL CAR?
yes, they will rub the inside. i've been through two sets of 17in rims. a lot of people here are gonna say 17's are too big. don't listen to them though, more than 90% of the people here are sleeper or "JDM" freaks, bandwagon jumpers. we all forget that if you like it, thats all that matters.

jdm is gay. I just have small wheels because hondas unless they're making ungodly amounts of power don't need anything more than 15s and sticky *** tires like RA1s

How much difference is 1" in wheel diameter going to make?
Stock 14's with 195/60/14 = 22" diameter
17's with 205/40/17 = 23" diameter
How much, if any is that going to affect?
Its not like its $$$CASH MONEY DUBZZZ Y0!!!$$$$.

What a hard-to-understand question... maybe you should have thought about that a little more before posting.
The useless answers you've received aren't much better though.
There's no reason that a 17" wheel couldn't fit on a delsol WITHOUT rubbing. You need to take into consideration the following:
- wheel width
- wheel offset
- tire width
- tire profile
- amount the car is lowered
- and to a lesser degree, spring rate
A combination of all of the above determine if everything fits right. For example, given the following: +42 offset, no wider than 7", 205 tire, and car at a reasonable height, you won't have any problems at all.
