Default Is this a good price for A6

Like the topic, my buddie's old man's got a GSR rex, and is selling the original D16A6 that came in his Si. The motor does not burn oil, and reassures me it runs strong. Its the complete long block so no Si tranny. Is $250 a decent price??? Its local, and i need a A6 just so i can pass smog and **** and dont have to worry about it not passing. TIA

Does that include dizzy, and all sensors, etc? What's the mileage?

Yea if it is complete, it's worth $250, but I would offer him $200 just because of not having a tranny.

Then, go buy a ZC tranny or 92-95 Ex/Si Tranny

Those are hydraulic so it wouldn't work without some pretty heavy mods

$250 is a good deal, I bought my extra a6 for $100, and have seen multiple deals for that. But I would also pay $200.
