Default bypassing VAFC

Is it possible to bypass the VAFC without disconnecting it? What I mean is, is there anyway I can use the ECU settins instead of using the VAFC fuel settings without re doing the wires. Reason why I want to do this is so I can get my mpg higher when going to far places.

You'll either have to set all of the settings to zero or you can just plug the map sensor wire back into itself. The connectors provided with the vafc make doing this very easy.It will take about 1 minute to do.I dont remember if there are any other ways.

if your goal is to save fuel(if i understand correctly, you want to run dirrectly to the ecu to conserve fuel) just lean it out..... or you can simply unplug the wires...

okay on the AFC, go to the main window where u will see Monitor, Settings, and etc functions. (if u are currently on the monitor screen, press the "PREV" key a couple of times in order to go to the main window)
on the main window, use the down arrow key to go to "Settings" click the "Next" button. from there go to Hi-throttle and click next button. now u will see a graph. using the left and right arrow key, move to the different rpms and set them all to zero. do this by either using the up or down arrow key to get it to zero. do all the rpms. when u r done, click the "PREV" button. then scroll down to Lo-Throttle option and click next. do the same thing u just did for the hi-throttle setting.

NOTE: this is for the SAFC not the VAFC, but it should be similar. i think u have a setting for hi and low cam settings too, so u might have to set that to zero

go to http://www.apexi-usa.com and go to "documentation". look on the left side of the scree and scroll down till u find the VAFC and download the instruction manual. it will help u out more to learn all the functions of the VAFC.
