Need Help: Over Heating problem
I need help on my buddies CRX. 1990 Si.
The car overheated last summer and shut off. This week I had the cyclinder resurfaced, replaced headgasket and radiator. The car started up no problem. Within 4-5 minutes of running, it temperature gauge climbs slowly towards the "h" (hot) mark. I shut off the car and double check for air in the coolant system. I removed the thermostat and tried running, again within 4-5 it climbs slowly towards the "h".
What can it be?
Corroded, Dirty Temp. Sensor? if. so, where is it located?.. CRX dont have sensor at the water neck like the B-series..

I really need help,
Did you put in a new water pump during this rebuild?
Did you bleed the coolant system? This normally fixes the initial put back together overheating problem.

radiator cap check,
thermostat taken off,
no leaks,
coolant bleed,
remember guys.. this car has been sitting for 4-5 months. no warped block, head resurfaced, actually holds compression. check piston and spark plugs for signs of wetness, so no leaks
help is very appreciated.
i am assuming its the temp sensor, but dont have a CRX helms manual. its not located on the water neck like the b-series.. Sorry guys. I need your D-series expertise.
