Its all relative to how much do you want to spend.. I dont think this is the right section to be posting.. People are going to tell you to search as well
being that this has been covered a million times.. What kind of horsepower
are you looking for? also What is going to be the cars main purpose?

street car? road race car? drag-street car?

Theres a ton of factors... Also what model civic hatchback is it? Si? DX? STD?

Also what kind of budget are you planning on working with?

After you answer some of those questions I can kind of point you in a direction that may help you.

Hmmm then if you want a quick fix and your not really intrested in performance. Just pick up a newer D16 like out of a 96-00 or so, Just buy the long block and use your trans swap over your DPFI Fuel setup / Intake mani and wire it all back up Shouldnt run you much money at all and youll have a low milage stock DX basically plus .1 more liters. Your reliability and emissions will then be perfect unless theres a cat or exhaust problem and it will kill your pocket!
