Car not starting.............
I have an ECU without the immobilizer chip, and my doesnt start......Do I need to take out the immobilizer unit under the dash for the car to start....? Please help me, the shops that I asked said, that I need to put the immoblizer chip back in, but I think they are trying to get some extra cash from me.....Let me know pleas!!!!
Post some more info if possible. What year is the car (I assume it's an R since you posted here). Also what ECU (P28?) and what type of jumper harness are you using. If you install a non immobilizer ecu w/ harness in a 00-01 R, the system is no longer active-meaning it will no longer prevent starting of the car. You may have an issue with a faulty ecu or incorrect harness.
It's a 2000 ITR (p73)Ecu, in a 99 GsR. I posted this thread here because the ecu is what I think is has the problem or it might be the immobilizer unit, its the stock harness that goes straight to the ecu. PLease let me know. Thnks
