Hey my girlfriend has an 02 rsx basemodel and she finally started to complain about the stereo. xmas is coming so i bought her 2 12" xplods in a bandpass box and i have an extra 1000 watt amp. i was wondering if anyone knows if there are amp preouts on the stock headunit? i just don't quite have the extra cash right now to buy her a new headunit. anyone have a clue? thanks -Ricky

Sorry, no preouts.

 

No, the only way its possible to hook something up is through the speaker wires in the rear. But what you want to hook up then you will need a new deck. No stock pre outs in our cars.

 

There is a way to do it. You have to buy an adjustable line output converter. It's a little device you splice into some speaker wires from your head unit. It's like 50 bucks. If you want see some pixs, go to http://www.rockfordfosgate.com, and look under accessories, and look for HI TO LOW CONVERTERS. Hope that helps.

 

take back the bandpass box and one 12 and trade it for a sealed box. then use the monney left over to get a cheap alpine deck. do it right or don't do it @ all.
