94 Accord 8psi tunning question.
Hey guys just a question for a dummy to tunning.I am going to be running 8psi with an IHI 14lb turbo.I am planning on running VAFC,AEm fuel upgrades and Walbro 255 fuel pump, and an FPR.Is it gonna be easy for 8psi tunning and would it be good to run an FMIC if i have AC and the radiator, i heard the car heats up more if i run an FMIC cause it haults the air going to the radiator? If anyone could help me out in answering some tunning question. Also what should i look for when tunning this low of PSI? Thanks guys.
as long as you have a good fan that flows over 800 cfm u really dont have to worry really about cooling, as far as tunning goes u really need to just make sure your air fuel is at 12:1 or lower, best way to do that is 1. have a wideband o2 or 2. go to a dyno that has one
i've only had it overheat once, when it was 38 degrees celcius (so around 100F or so?) and the thermo fan was busted. And actually it still didnt overheat, just ran a little warmer than usual.
Use an intercooler, otherwise you are risking your engine. As for tuning, it should be fine though its better to use something that can be fine-tuned a little more than the AFC

So far i have turbo,mani,dp,450cc DSM injectors,Vafc,Boost guage, air guage, and front mount.Ill get all the other stuff later around tax refund time.I am not close to any dyno tunning place unless anyone knows any in Bremerton. The closes palceis in Tacoma, about 45 minutes away.Unless someone in bremerton would like to make some money for tunning it for me.
i hope you don't plan on using the autometer a/f gauge... it's just a light show... copmletely useless. you need a wideband O2 to know how your a/f ratio is. narrowbands (like OEM, and what autometer uses) can't read 12:1 ratios (the kind of ratio you should aim for while under boost, generally speaking).

well if u plan on using an fmu then u cant use the afc and the 450 injectors, and an fmu is only good for up to 7 - 8 psi , a friend of mine has been using a fmu for the past 8 months with no problems, also if u plan to use a fmu u need a missing link
so with everyhitng i have i should not run the FMu, just get the windbond and tune it so i can drive about an hour to a dyno?I was gonna upgrade the whole fuel system and then kinda tune it with the VAFC and the Adjustable FPR.But i don't think it will work that way, will it?
