Default Mini Me swap info

I have a D16Y7 engine and am thinking of swaping out the head for a Y8 form an EX. I already know mostly what I need and from what I gathered I need the following:
1. Complete Y8 head
2. Y8 head bolts
3. Y8 head gasget
4. P2P ecu

If there is anything I missed could you please list the items. Also what kind of increase in power should i expect? Is it noticable differece?

Thanks for you help

Assuming your car is a manual, you will also need a manual Y8 intake manifold due to conflict with the IACV. The EX engine harness will also make the swap plug and play but it's not necessary as you can mod your Y7 harness. Add a new timing belt to your list, either Y7 or Y8 as they are the same.
Gains will be noticeable but probably not as much as you'd like. The Y8 head on a Y7 block with an OEM thick headgasket will be slightly less compression than a stock Y8 so power will be slightly less. You can always do a piston swap, or to make things less complicated use a thinner headgasket to raise compression up a little.

Actually i think on the y7 blocks the piston to deck height is lower that the stock y8 but the pistons have a greater dish br not much. Just over 1cc. But with the .000 piston to deck height the mini me will still get higher compression ratio. Stock y8 is like 9.6.1 y7/y8 minime is like 9.96 and with a 2layer head gasket that jumps to 10.245. throw in getting your head milled .020 youll have a cr of 10.75.1!! that costs extra tho!lol Doin my researh for my mini me doin the same thing.

Get a Y8 or Z6 transmission or you will be disappointed I know I was.
