It feels like I lose a cylinder sometimes
During the summer every once in a while when the car was cold it would feel like I lost a cylinder for a second. I'd be in 2nd getting out of the neighorhood accelerating and suddendly it would stop accelerating, then go back again. Now that it's gotten cold it's doing it worse. The problem is that I don't know what the engine's not getting, fuel, air, or spark. I'm planning on taking the dist. out and checking it, cleaning the TB, and putting a new fuel filter in to see if it does anything. Is there anything else I should look aat while I'm in there?
Does your car sound like a wrx..??
I know when I-4 motors run on 3 cylinders they sometimes sound like that
Maybe you have a misfire..
check what "2point2" said to check

A cut in the number 2 plug wire outer was causing all my problems. The car runs much smother with a new set of wires. I'll check that O[sub]2[/sub] sensor out too.

Yeah with a cylinder not firing it will throw a code for the O2 sensor.Reset the ECU and see if it comes back on.

The distrubitor doen't have many miles on it, so I didn't need to replace that. It is about time for plugs though...and an oil filter
