Honda uses VTEC and I-VTEC.
VTEC uses two different cam profiles-less lift and less duration for low speed, switching to higher lift and more duration for high speed.
I-VTEC incorporates VTEC with the addition of ECU controlled changes in cam timing to optimize power.

its different in the States from us in australasia.. 88-99 civic si in our region will be the ZC,92-95 vti will be the b16a obd0,92-95 SiR will be the b16a obd1,96-00 vti will be the a single cam vtec..96-00 SiR will be the B16a obd2...

i ask a few fren in asia n they told me the VTi-r is the australian version of SiR i.e b16a..(im not sure on this),,VTi-s..its the b17 single vtec..civic 02'
