random thought, what are some of the pros/cons to doing this.... i searched and found mostly classified info...just want some general info as to what is involved and how anything is better or worse than an LS tranny vs gsr tranny. simple replacement or is there other mods involved with this swap?

the gsr tranny by far is better...the ls gears are horible...also get lsd if you get the gsr tranny...

 

One con I can think of is when your cruising on the highway doing 60mph, your RPM is about 3000 which is higher than with the LS tranny.

The gsr tranny is better, but keep in mind you'll be cruising at higher rpm's than the ls.

ight, with that said... any other major componets to swapping trannies?

 

is the lsd really essential for street driving only? not planning on running on the track?

 

so the GSR transmission has LSD in it?? i have a 2000 GSR tranny, i dont recall it having lsd in it... please back this up

some jdm gsr transmissions have an lsd.

 

you want to buy a tranny that has lsd because traction is way better 2 wheels not one....eating a non lsd tranny any day...its up to u how important that is....think better cornering and better launch!
