I have been researching on buying a camber kit for my 96 civic hb. Everyone have been saying that the A-arms camber kits made by Skunk 2, Omnipower, Ingalls and etc...hits the top part of the strut...I'm curious on how low can you drop the car to avoid this from happening. Picture of your car will help....

 

Im dropped a lil over 2 inches.

No camber kit needed.

Just a good allingment.

 

i have an EG lowerd with skunk2 camber kit and coilovers and my car is pretty crushed to the ground with no problems.

but like i said its an EG not an EK

I have the SPC (just like ingalls) lowered about 1.5" on a 6th gen hatch, I don't hit any of the other suspension components...

 

it will hit if you hit a medium size pot hole or bump. what all the camber kit out there does is it extends the wishbone out so the wishbone will tilt out more, correcting the camber problem. if you look in your wheel well there will be an area that the wishbone will clear if you move the wishbone over you will get closer to the wheel well and hit that area. hopefully this helps out. overall its worth it, if you dont slam the car too much. id say 2 inches is preatty safe.

 

my old junk2 arms hit the wells...when they got bent to **** I bought some of the new SPC arms...VERY impressed w/ the quality over the skunk2's

 

I never had that problem with the skunk2 and i have a 2.25" drop. Maybe i'm not low enough
