Need Some MAJOR HELP!!!
my car has not been on for 90days, we took the engine completly apart and rebuilt it. ok the night we turned it on for the 1st time it started
and idle fine
everything was great until we took it down the road
for some odd reason it will run fine then all of a sudden "bog" at or around 2000rpm? like i could push on the gas all the way but it wont lemme past 2000rpm, almost like a launch controller. wtf is goin on i have an idea that its an o2 sensor but we checked and it looked fine
any ideas? thanks

you need to give us more info. no one even knows what engine or chassis this is.
clear the ecu and try again. if it happens, check for codes and post them. pull all 4 plugs and see what they look like. keep an eye out for oil, water, excessive fuel or any plug looking different than the others. note which cyl each plug is from.
if there is drastic variance, run timing light on each plug wire and listen with screwdriver for each injector clicking. check spark timing with light while youre at it.

its a b18a1 block b20 head t3t4 turbo tonite were going to hook a laptop up to the ecu to see if it needs reprogramed, but for some odd reason i think its the gas its 90+ days old and has been sitting. its wierd that the car might work fine for a minute or two then BAM i cant go passed 2krpm?
Oh I forgot to mention I have DSM 450cc injectors
old *** gas + multi stage injectors could bring up something in the ecu that would limit the injectors to only run on the first stage which would be the 2krpm limit. It wouldnt let it run any more gas because the gas is so shitty that it could potentially do some harsh damage...just like when you run a lower octane the car runs worse...
could this be a possibility? im going to drain the gas tonite to

multi stage injectors? thats news to me.
so now that this motor has boost, whats controlling the air/fuel ratio? FMU, VAFC, custom ROM, etc?
btw.. all oxygen sensors LOOK "fine"

IT ABSOLUTELY IS YOUR IGNITER UNIT IN YOUR DISTRIBUTOR OR ITS WIRING INSIDE/TO THE DISTRIBUTOR. Same thing happened to those of us that aren't asking you more questions, its so damn common!
I've got the JDM B16 dizzy and didnt want to get a new dizzy, so i went to Kragens and got a new one only to return it as if i hadn't swaped igniter units with it
evil i know <-- going to hell.

im getting a headache with this damn thing! we checked the sensors/sparkplugs
I dunno whats going on the car will start fine idle fine, revs up to 2krpm but wont go passed 2krpm even if i push on the gas all the way. its kinda like a rev limiter set at 2krpm.

I had the same problem when i swapped my b16 into my crx, it started and idled ok, but it just cut off at 3000 rpms. Everyone told me it was the dizzy, I had a few codes, got a shop manual and went over every code like 10 times. Everything just lead to the last step when everything checks out... REPLACE THE ECU WITH A KNOWN GOOD ECU. I didn't want to do that but i finally had enough and forked over enough for a new ecu. Within minutes of getting it in the mail i poped it in and i was good to go. I would first test all of those codes and see ware it goes. If nothing gets you anywhare, try a new ecu. No problems since i got the new ecu. No codes, no problems.
