R sighting today at mall, almost made me cry
I can't believe the shape this R was in. There were sun flower seeds hardened on to the once beautiful PY paint. The driver side window was marked w/ blue marker that read "Have fun washing me" or something like that, and the passenger side window was completely marked up in blue (the whole window, like it was colored w/ a marker). The rear bumper was dented, and the license plate was dented into that little hole along the rear bumper. I seriously hope the owner doesn't keep his/her car like this on a regular basis. I almost wanted to cry, it's just.... sad.
I've seen an ITR like that here in Chicago. See it all the time too, but never see who is driving. I've met most of the owners from the Chicago meets so I'm pretty sure its someone that doesn't post here.
To each his own I guess. But why did it have to be an R

Parking an R in a Mall is a daredevil activity. Up there w/ base jumping.
well seeing that my R is my only car. i have to take it everywhere. so it is parked in malls and other parking lots all the time. no dents or anything yet
Some people intentionally keep their R's in crappy shape.
I've only washed my R twice in its entire lifetime, never bothered to get the front end repaird after a collision, and let brake dust bake into the wheels.
It was stolen anyway.

I NEVER drive my ITR to the malls. TOO DAMN risky. I've only driven my R to the theaters a couple of times. Theaters I felt like I could trust, although I feel that's risky as well.
I think movie theaters are more dangerous. At least around here, the mall has like 4 or 5 security vehicles and cameras everywhere in the parking lot.
Movie has 1 fat *** cop at the ticket booth. That's it.
BTW, risk factor of parking an ITR was part of the reason I purchased my 92 CX!
