what is the lightest DA teg? also what are some things i can do to make it lighter i have a b16a=no torque so im trying to lighten it up How big of a difference does taking off your power steering help your performance

 

weight reduction is free.

take off your power steering, ac, stereo, spare tire, jack, and seats to see some differences.

after that...

carbon fiber hood, and lighter bucket seat.

 

I think the RS model would be the lightest.

if you get rid of power steering, i suggest using a manual rack from an EF or ED civic. they will give you a desired steering ratio that will not make the steering feel too heavy and almost unnnatural.

make sure the weight is balanced. put the battery in the passenger footwell. the spare tire and jack weigh some but are a good idea to have, unless you have fix-a-flat.

 

under your carpet is an insulation thats weighs a shitload at least 40 or 50 lbs, i would say lose the ac for now, and that and you might feel something

 

How much do you care for comfort and safety? The front seats are around 50 lbs each, rears are about 35 altogether, rest of the panels and carpet are about 30. If you have a sunroof that is ~50-60 lbs, AC is about the same. You can get FAL windows. You can switch to a Hawker Oyssey battery or something similarly small if you live somewhere reasonably warm. CF hood is a little lighter but not a huge difference, CF fenders are about the same as stock, CF hatch is slightly lighter. JDM bumper supports are much lighter than USDM, but provide almost no protection. JDM onepiece headlights are lighter than USDM. Get lightweight wheels. Someone over on G2IC claimed their car was down to around 2000 lbs I think.

 

that would be the sound denting material...get a chizel and a hammer and get that **** out...and get rid of your back seat annd forget it just stripp the rear like its hott
