idels at 3,000 when cold then revs down to 1500 then to 2000 and back to 1500 and so on when warmed up if I cover up the lower bypass hole its runs fine but there is click coming from the intake only when you give it gas but its not the valves car runs great any help at all would be good . this sucks I want to try my zex kit but I not touchin it until this is fixed.

 

from intake manafolid it could be your egr valve

 

First check for vacuum leaks, then check your coolant level. IF those are fine take a look at the ecav. Are you getting any cels?

 

My baby recently started doing the same thing: cold idles at 3000rpm, then goes from 2500 to 1500 and back again for ten minutes or so, then calms down to the 1000rpm range. I'm planning on pulling the TB and IM sensors in the near future to see if I can't rectify the problem without buying new parts. Hopefully a couple squirts of brake cleaner and a rag will facilitate the healing process.

 

its most likely you idle motor located underneath you throttle body it happens to a lot of cars in the 130k range just replace it and will be good if not that i had the same problem on my head swap and after i adjusted the valves after my valve job it seemed to be fine , also it could be just a vacuum leak

 

still crap going to try full replacement of this ****. what would be the best parts at the right price for a d16z6. all sensors seem fine no codes just bullshit and pvc valve is clicking but the lines dont seem to be pinched and can I get rid of this system ?.....more than likey not .

 

and its a 93 with about 190...miles
