Default Oil leak!

I have a B18b I just rebuilt a few monthes ago and I am having an oil leak problem from the oilpan around the gasket! At first I removed the oil pan to find metal washers from the last oilpan gasket!(How I missed that is beyond me) So I replaced the gasket and torqued it to 8.5 ft-lbs and now it leaks from another spot on the oil pan and not where it was before and the gasket squeezes out of some places and not others(I am using a torque wrench)! I already bought another gasket and I am going to replace it again, but I just wondered if anyone knows what is causing this!

My engine has P30 Pistons in it and Crower 404's which ups the cranking pressure to 220.84 PSI from 182.68 PSI(which was stock)! I also upgraded my oil pump to a GSR and I wonder if one of these factors may be causing this!

-I have been using valvoline 10W-30 conventional oil!
-I have used new gaskets and haven't used any gasket sealer!
-I have torqued the nuts and bolts to factory spec, 104 in-lbs. or 8.5 ft-lbs.

I have no clue what is causing this to continuously leak! Any input is appreciated!

are you using RTV around the corners of the pan gasket? also torquing in order?

Yes I used RTV at the corners where the oil pump meets the block and same on the flywheel side! Yes I have torqued in order, from the center out!

You don't just use it in the corners, you use it all the way around. This is how I do them, and I've never seen one leak. Apply hondabond all around the rim of the pan, spread it thin with your finger. Lay down the gasket and make sure it's flat. Then apply another thin layer on top of the gasket. Let that sit for 5 minutes, and install. The layers should be just think enough to cover whatever you're putting it on, no more. And I use a circular pattern to torque, going around on opposite sides. Hope this helps.

Thanx, but I thought you were not supposed to use gasket sealer or hondabond all the way around the gasket?

well Im changing my oil pan gasket now and the gasket is completely soked with oil! I know oil penetrates metal so should I wait a couple of days before reinstalling the oil pan or can I just clean it and reinstall it. What can I clean it with? Should I silicon or hondabond?

Clean it with a carb or brake cleaner, and blow it dry. I use hondabond cuz it's free to me, but an rtv sealant will probably work as well.
