why is my oilpan leaking???
I just installed a new oil pan gasket cuz i thought thats why oil was seeping through the gasket but it is still doing it. I tightend the bolts not too tight all around but oil still seeps through the gasket.. am i doing something wrong? is there some sort of specific sequence you need to bolt those in and is there something other than the gasket i should be using to seal it? thanks in advance.
there is a torque sequence, and I always use hondabond around the bolts and on the dimples....Use some around the oilpump case too, as well as the other end of the block.
maybe you're overtorquing the gasket, or maybe the pan is warped. or maybe it isnt your oil pan thats leaking.
No the oil is definitely leaking from the pan.. i keep wiping it every day and the next day there is more commin out the seams where the gasket is.. I probably am over-torquing.. anyone know the correct sequence?
did you use an oem gasket???
hondabond is your friend
