Default Greddy Emange on Boosted f23 Question

I'm just thinking about stuff, again, and wonder if anyone out there has successfully used the Emange on the f23. More particular, was it able to control the timing on the f23, with it's electronic controlled timing?

It was mentioned to me about this unit instead of going for the EMS, since my goals 250 to the wheels wouldn't be enough to warrent the 2k price tag of the EMS (unit + install & tuning).

Please don't post anything about Hondata because it will not work on my ride, and has been confirmed, even if I switch to OBDI, which I will not do.

Thanks

with the OBDII f23a1, I was told that there was a problem with one of the sensors after converting to OBDI, which hondata couldn't work with. There probably are ways around it, but they are probably not well known, or money wise worth it.

we should be focusing on answering the quesion he asked....

i dont have any experience with the eManage, but it is a piggy back system. in this sense, you won't have complete control over everything. seeing as you're not going for the m4Dp0W4, i would think that this would suit your needs.

this probably isn't that helpful, but just my .02. anyone care to differ?

I got the info from calling and talking to a few shops in the area. I only saw one post here on HT about a boosted accord done by I think VSV in Texas, just search for boosted accord through the archives and call that shop and see if there customer had the problem and if/how they got around it.

thanks, yeah, I'm not going for m4Dp0W4 and I know it's a piggy back system. But from what I've read, it seems to work pretty good, and the only reason for going with something different is if ur looking to have complete controll over all aspects of engine management in search for big #'s. Thanks for the info though.

I am currently running the e-manage with turbo f23. Getting ready to switch to AEM EMS because it won't control the 780cc injectors that are in it. With the updated software it will control timing and the fuel injectors. The thing you have to watch for is to make sure the TPS sensor is set in the e-manage for your car or it won't control the timing and it won't start the car. When I had the e-manage running the car it was running great.

thats good to hear. So is the only reason why your switching is because it can't controll the 780cc injectors? any other gripes with it?

That is the only reason I'm switching. It will idle with the 780"s but you give it gas and it just dies. I pulled out the plugs after letting it idle and they were a pretty chocolat brown color. Give it just a little gas and the car shuts off and the plugs are soked with fuel.
The car is fully built, CP pistons, Crower rods, Manley SS valves, SC52 TURBO, 780cc, Ported and polished head, auto-manual swap, To much to list. I have to wait on the EMS to get here then its off to the dyno to get it toned. I hope it will be able to put down 400whp. May have to use C16 but thats ok. Also just ordered a bigger front mount 30x8x3". I should be able to order a 3" kteller exhaust here pretty soon.
If you need any other info let me know, willing to provide info if needed.

cool.

I'm seriously considering the Emanage over the EMS.
