1.5 sohc to a b18 in 92 hatch, where do i check codes from...?

i bought a 92 hatch with a obd1 gsr motor with the old stock harness.
my problem is, i have a cel on now and i don't know eher to check for codes..?

to check the codes you have to jump the service connector by the ecu and count

^^what he said, plus the wires going to the 2p connector to be jumped are brown and green\white.
