1 inch crack in radiator....best fix?
while i was leaning on it, it kinda cracked. Its a very small crack, about 1 inch and leaking enough to drip out to the bottom. I just used some strong plastic adhesive from 3M to seal it up for now...if theres anything better out there to use can someone tell me? ill just unseal the area and apply that.

Just replace it. You'll be pissed when the bottom blows out and sprays antifreeze all over the side of your block and all you smell for a week is burning antifreeze and you end up replacing it anyways!

I couldn't agree more. I had the same thing and it was $100 for parts and labor. And now I know the condition of my radiator.

fix it with jb weld until you can afford a new one. Also you can get an all aluminum radiator from the sponsor forum for only $149. So if oem is $100 spend the extra 50 to get something that youl never have to replace
JBWeld will work as a quick fix.
they also make a product specifically for cracks.
Its called Radiator Stop Leak. Made just for cracks. If caught early it can take care of all together, otherwise its great temp product. costs about $3

I put some jb weld on it. First i cleaned up the area with 3m adhesive and tar remover (forgot to sand) and put a good amount on. UNfortunatly, i had to go out about 5 hrs later so i had to use the car so it did end up leaking still, at that point it was still kinda soft. So i just cleaned up the area again and applied more. Hopefully by 10 tomorrow it will be ready to go. Ill eventually just go to the junker and get a new one.

u can usually get a used one on classifieds
for like 40-50 bucks
JBweld is avaible at lots of auto parts places.
U can also use something like a stop leak like Bar leaks which work well but u are adding it to your cooling system which in the end maybe clog it up.
JBweld would be the cheapest route
Radiator are ez to install just undo the upper bracket and rad hoses, after u drain the system.
