Car doesnt start..battery or starter?
today i drove home for lunch and on my way back to work my car wouldnt start.
what do u think this could be. i did a search and seemed like most of the time it was the battery.
my car has been driving fine everyday with no signs of any problems until today.
Also its not cold outside and all my wires seemed to be all good. i tried jumping the car for like 10mins and my car still wont start.
readio, lights, and windows work and everytime i start it i hear 1 click and the fuel pump and then its total silence.
i will be changing the battery tomorrow

Easiest thing to do to check the battery and the alternator is to jump the vehicle with a set of jumpercables and then remove the positive battery cable while the vehicle is running. If it cuts off or trys to start stalling......it's most likely going to be the alt. if it stays running, the alternator is doing its job. However....even if it stays running, take it to autozone, pep-boys or somewhere and let them do a "draw test" on the alternator and battery to be positive before wasting you money on something that may not fix your car.
did that already for like 10mins and nothing.
i tried starting it and i barely hear a click and then total silence beside the fuel pump.

Engine rotates but will not start
- Fuel tank empty.
- Battery discharged.
- Battery terminal connections loose or corroded.
- Leaking fuel injectors, faulty fuel pump, faulty fuel pressure regulator.
- Fuel not reaching the fuel rail.
Ignition components damp or damaged.
- Worn, faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs.
- Broken, loose or disconnected wiring in the starting circuit.
- Loose distributor is changing ignition timing.
