Default Car randomly starts after dead battery

the other day i left the headlights on and the car wouldn't start. a friend of mine came to jump it and i drove it about an hour to make sure the battery recharged. next morning the car doesn't crank. Friend came over and jumped it again and it works. Go to work, 8 hrs later, its fine, next morning car won't start?

-had the battery tested and said it was fine
-made sure nothing that used electricity was on

alternator or something else? anyone know?

Driving it an hour won't charge the battery much.

Bring your battery to an Autozone and have it charged for free. Make sure it has your name on it or something so it doesn't get mixed up. I know sometimes they don't put names on them or log the battery like they're supposed to.

When you go to autozone, drive the car there and ask them to test the battery and alternator. Tell em to bring out the jump box with the start/charge system tester. You may also want to check for drains on the battery with a meter. Cleaning the battery terminals and grounds wouldn't hurt either.

that happen to mine, the terminals were loose (werent loose to pull off but could be tighter)

car started if i had a jump but after driving for 30 minutes wouldnt have the juice to crank

tightening up my negative terminal solved that problem though

The on the car "alternator" test at Autozone actually tests the general charging system. Still a good idea, but it won't narrow down what the problem is besides yes or no to the general charging system being the problem.
