Accidental SuperCharger Sound
You mean the whining sound. Varies with engine RPM? Check your ground wires. The shorter the better. Route the power wire, and ground wire so that they aren't too close to each other. Make them too long and you'll get that sound. Also, make sure you use proper gauge wiring for the amp.
alternator whine... that annoying high pitch sound that comes out of your speakers and "matches" your rpms.
make sure the ground wire(s) is connected to a bare-metal section of the body. sj993 is correct, you don't want that wire to be too long. it's best to keep it under 18 inches or so. don't use cheap RCAs... get shielded ones. unshielded ones will pick up a lot of noise (alternator whine) fairly easily. avoid running wires past your ecu if possible. run power wires and RCAs along separate paths, as running them too close can cause alternator whine as well.

I have that exact same "problem" in my moms minivan...when the tape player is on and I turn the speakers up there will be a supercharger whine and it's ****** awesome lol....i tricked my cousin into thinking I installed a supercharger in the minivan cuz it was so loud. Anyways, whatever the problem is, I dunno, and I dont care since it aint my car....but nonetheless it's cool..
Yeah it's cool...if it was my car i would be pissed and confused but since it's not my car I dont care, I would say it's fun to mess around with. And considering my cousin is 9 years old and loves cars, I hardly consider him a "tard", he can actually name a shitload of imports and domestics from a block away. not too shabby.
would most like be your power cable is coupled with the RCA, either separate them or have them in right angles.
my car has that noise but not when it's over a certain volume so i'm fine with it.
or just unplug your alternator
ou get more speed down the strip thou I have no idea whether you'll have enough power left in battery to get the car home.
