Dang only by 7?

Try "HEET" from Pepboys or Autozone. "Guaranteed to pass"

upwards, it retards the timing to a smaller degree, so that not as much fuel is burned and ****, and the emissions is lowered

I thought HC was caused by un-burnt fuel? Ill try checking my plug gaps as well.

ye wen u retard the timing, it will taking te timing down to below 16 degrees, proll like around 10 or less and then it should pass.

if not u gota retard it even more by pulling the dis and putting it in at a diff degree an retarding it more

If you retard the timing more than 2 degrees past 16 you will definitely fail. Test only stations will check your timing and fail you on the spot.

Retarding it would mean more un-burnt fuel so why? Maybe tune it to 14BTDC but no less than that.

What they mean is.........change your timing to make the car run leaner?

Since he's only a single digit # away from passing, the solution would be to give it a little boost with the HEET stuff.

im sorry.. but what is HEET? I didnt see it at pepboys... I did however put in the Guaranteed to Pass stuff... And just came back from a 6 hour drive to use up the tank of gas. I have just put in a fresh tank of gas, and swapped out the o2 sensor, rechecked plug gap to .43~.44. I have also changed the timing to 14deg. Hopefully that will do it.

over inflate your tires..makes it so less tire is touching, which makes the engine work less, engine working less=engine giving off least amount of smog

The full name is "ISO HEET" I'm not sure what it stands for. WALMART carries this because I saw it just the other day in the autocare section. My autozone in my area, carries it as well...

Over inflating your tires? Jeez

He said his Nox numbers are low so his cat is fine. Have you tried putting in new spark plugs?

1st run

max/ave/meas
---------- HC--------------------- CO---------------------------NOx
15mph 92 / 21 /92--------- .55 / 0.06 / 0.40--------------------716/150/61 <Pass>
25mph 57 / 13 / 64--------- .54 / 0.05 / 0.77 <Fail>------------764/136/75 <Fail>

new results after GTP, new 02 sensor, turned fuel pressure down to 30psi, overinflate tires, and remove air filter

max/ave/meas
---------- HC--------------------- CO---------------------------NOx
15mph 92 / 21 /64--------- .55 / 0.06 / 0.13--------------------716/150/100 <Pass>
25mph 57 / 13 / 56--------- .54 / 0.05 / 0.16 <Fail>------------764/136/12 <PASS>

I barely beat the HC by 1 point. but dont know why my NO is 12? waay below the average.

Too bad I didn't see your post earlier. I would have tossed that up there.
