I have another chance to get an R
I would appreciate any input on this. I am 27, have a stable job and currently drive a civic, I paid $14K cdn for the civic after trading my RSX S in. I previously had an R and now have the opportunity to get another one for 23K cdn. After acquiring this car, I will have some $$ left in my account, (just over 3K).
I guess my problem is seeing how fast that money will be taken from my bank account and the fact that cars do deppreciate. The Rs in immaculate condition, never winter driven and I will keep it that way. I do miss the fun factor of this car. Another thing is it will be only driven 6 months of the year, summer only, civic will be driven all other times, while the Rs garaged.
Would appreciate all inputs on whether or not I should get it.
Thank you for listening.

Do what ever makes you feel comfortable. Don't forget to be ready for "financial emergencies". Regarding your bank account, I don't think anyone will be able to tell you what you should have as your nest egg.
I think you have your mind made up.

Than you're not making the right moves! If you play your cards right, you can actually make money doing it
Sounds like you already made your mind up, but just remember that if something goes wrong, you have to pay to fix it. Not to mention insurance costs and maintanence. But if you have a well-paying job, why not. Do you have your own house/appartment already? Is it paid for? What about a girlfriend/wife? Thinking about a family anytime soon? I think that will better help advise you...3k isn't much to work with if you're going to be taking on other things soon. Good luck

Lax, most of what you've brought up I have been thinking over the past few days. If I was 20 again, no questions ask the car would've been mine now. The thing is I only had my R for 16 months which is almost nothing. I guess when and if I get to 40 I don't want to look back and regret not having this car or having it for more than 2 years. I called the seller and will be having a look at it this week, wish me luck
