front cross member bracket mount....

Default front cross member bracket mount....

Do i need to remove it to get this b18b1 into a crx? I am guessing i do since it won't go in otherwise?

It depends on what mount kit you have. I have AZ Race & Machine mounts and I didnt need to remove that mount. (I removed the crossmember while the engine was being installed and then reinstalled it) If you dont remove the front cross member, it can be a pain to get the motor maneuvered around that mount.

I used to have some crappy no-name mounts and I had to hack that mount off.

Your best bet is to take the whole front crossmember off, install the engine and then reinstall the crossmember and see if it needs to be removed or not.

do it right.

take off the crossmember, drill out the 'tacks/welds' and then hammer the mount off. it will like very clean.

yeah cut it off if you want or get a jimfab x-member. either way, its not a big deal, when you pull the engine out to do the swap, just get in there with a sledge and a cutter. Dont forget alternator clearance. It also depends on the mounts you use.
