Default DOHC VTEC Heads on a V8

I was wondering if any racing team has ever put two vtec heads on a v8. Now, I know that it would take a bunch of custom machining and milling and all that **** to make a block so that the heads would be able to fit on. And I know that it would take a completely custom ECU and thousands upon thousands of dollars. I know that it might not sound like the best idea or whatever but my curiosity is killing me. I know that it would have the same performance value as a DOHC V8 with cams. But still, my curiosity is killing me.

I heard there are someone making DOHC 4-valve heads for the most common V8s already? No VTEC, but four valves per cylinder and an superior port design should make alot more HP/TQ than those POS 2-valve stock heads. I'm sure I can find the link if I Google long enough.

When the 2006 Corvette ZO6 comes out it will have DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder heads, with variable valve timing.

All of you keep saying stupid idea, but Ferrari has been running variable valve timing on their motor for years, including V-8's

It's not a dumb idea in general. It is a dumb idea to use Honda VTEC heads and then create a block for it to fit on as he stated.
