Default K20 in CRX HF

I think there was a kid sometime ago on here that had a HF Crx gutted with a stock K20 that ran 11.81 is that believable or what. I'm trying to convice a kid that they do run 11's atleast that's what i've heard. Thanks for the help

Is that true that a K20 into an HF will run 11's stock?

try it and tell us what happens?

I stopped trying to convince others by vouching for other people's cars a long time ago. It got me nowhere lol.

It wasnt stock..It was a high compression ITB motor..

That motor isnt worth the hassle..You're better off doing a h22..
Friend hit low 12's with a stock h22 in a 90crx si with full interior and a stereo..Its all about the driving skills..

i doubt a k20 in a stock hf with stock suspention and stock 13s will hit 11s. theres more to a fast et than high horsepower and low weight.

EDIT- Pacman's CRX looks amazing!!! i love the ITBs

yeah that k20 crx had ITBs on it. without them it would run 13s. i guess those ITBs make an incredible power gain.

pacman was basically stock, minus header ITB's and hondata k pro...and a fully gutted crx on slicks, he was mid to low 11's....no internals done...that **** was crazy fast, k series in the crx is the end of all cars, honda should have never given us the k motor... it rapes the **** out of most cars once swapped into a lighter chassis....excuse me while i clean up my computer desk now

Thats what I like to hear, now just to get the damn things reasonably priced. Saw a good video of a K20 EG smoking the hell out of a 22psi Evo 8.

You're going to have a hard time running 11's with a bone-stock K20 in a CRX. Remember that the K20 only puts out 200-220HP crankshaft. This is simply not enough. And let's not even get into ability to get traction. The main strength of the K-series is power in a modified state (even lightly so). Also keep in mind that getting any K-series motor into a CRX is going to be a major PITA.
