Default aftermarket cat selection problem

i'll be using the stock "a pipe" for now untill i can afford a new header.
i've got a new 2.25" cat-back system coming via UPS at the moment.
i need an aftermerket cat thats both obd2 friendly and will be able to bolt up to my my new exhaust as well as my stock header.

at some point i will be swapping out the stock header for a nicer one. so do i get a direct replacement and just change the flange depending on the header i use or do i go with a cat that has no flanges and get an aftermerket header thats exactly the same length as the stock one or do i get a 2.25in and just put a flange that matches on either end|? i'm an idiot when it comes to cats

which aftermerket cat should i look at that will work with my setup? i tried looking up carsound and catco but i couldnt find exactly what i'm looking for.

am i even doing the right thing or is there somehting else i should be looking for?
