si lsd w/ gsr tranny
I order the wrong LSD I got the Si tranny one and not the GSR one. From what I read so far both trans have a 4.4 FD. Can I just use a Si ring gear?
The ring gear would be the same if they both have a 4.400 final drive. I'm surprised that the two LSD's aren't the same part number.
They should work on both vehicles.
EDIT: When I was messing with putting a Type R LSD into my LS tranny, I had to mess with swapping out countershafts and ring gears. I had several to work with and I noted that the Si one and the GSR one were the same. I think I just picked the GSR one and used that. I also used an Si countershaft. Seems like the Si and GSR parts are interchangeable. The gearing is different, but the final drive ring gear and countershaft seem to be the same. I don't know about the mainshaft, but that isn't important in your case.

what you push the ring gear to one side of the lsd you have like a 1/4 inch grap.
Does the Si ring gear have a smaller inner dimameter

Some ls trannys are the same. If it has a s80 on the vin. Some rs and gs are different with the 4.2 gear.
But the gsr and type r have the same bolt holes.
b16, ls, gs, rs have different the same holes but different amount of teeth.

You can't use the same si and gsr are totally different. Si has 4.4FD but gsr is different! 95 teg gsr here!
