im suprised your not throwing a code. Im using the jdm IM and there was no nipple or vacuum source for the purge vap solenoid. so i did like the other guy and T'd off the fuel pressure regulator.Im not sure if this the greatest thing as far as vacuum pressure goes. I believe VP affects your miles per gallon. I may just have to restrict my air flowing in by going to a cheap DX intake manifold w/EX throttle body port matched. I'll do this because the US DX im has a vac source for the purge thingy. Also, from my swap experience D15B into VX using an EX harness and P28 ecu, I had to rig a throttle cable bracket. the VX throttle cable bracket doesn't mount on both bolt holes for the JDM IM. Probly best if i just get a Ex/Si throttle cable to mount how its supposed to. The other thing i had trouble with is that since im stuck with my VX exhaust manifold for now... I had to add 6-8" of extra wire to my o2 plug(4wire which goes with EX harness & P28 ecu).
Overall i LUV my swap I think the clutch shop got a lil happy lightening my flywheel -3 pounds... & my 6puck ceramic disc . It accelerates like it wants to spool for turbo! I went up to a DX tranny since i really hated the tall gears in the VX (relisting on egay). With a aluminum intake and GREENmonsterfoam HKS filter... dang it howls and hollers! oh, use the VX timing belt & H20 pump for replacing the unknown miles jdm ones.

P28 works fine, it just runs rich. I'm running a P28 on my D15B. My ECU is chipped, and I tried a stock P08 program, but I get a solid CEL, so I need to see what the deal is when I get a chip burner. I wish it worked so I could tell you the difference, but I can say that the P28 works fine....

now i'm curious,
if you have a socketed/chipped ecu,
say.. a p08, and decide to run a p28 program.. does that make that ecu exactly like a p28? cuz the electronics inside do look different.. but it'd be running the same maps.

I wonder if they work the same.. hmm...

you will most likely throw a code if u try to run a p28 program on a p08 simply becuase the p28 will look for a heated o2s, and the p08 board is not equipped with a heated o2s, they run one wire o2s

Uberdata allows you to turn functions on & off, i.e. o2 heaters, knock sensors, etc. So, as long as the person chipping the ECU knows what they are doing that shouldn't be an issue....
