I bought the spoon throttle body and tried to have it installed and the places i took it to couldnt do. They told me that the throttle cable was to long. Does anyone have any suggestions onhow 2 install it
i have some at my work, i'll try to put one on my ep when i get back in town and let you know how it goes. you may have to buy the itr throttle cable. i know how it is for the b-series when you get a type r manifold and you have to get the throttle cable or just mess with it a lot to get the stock one to work. i'm assuming it will be like that with our cars too. i'll let you know what i find out. until then, good luck.
wonder why they wouldnt do it....sounds fishy u could email aj-racing and find out or another spoon dealer
also did the put it on? cause the cable length should have nothing to do with it really spoon doesnt manufacture the TB do they? its just a stock bored out and a new plate put on correct?

i'm a spoon distributor actually. spoon doesnt change the throttle body, that's correct, but the type r and type s are different i believe. just like the b-series.

I even took it to my tuner and this guy knows his stuff and he even tried, and i called the place where i got it from which was purchased at inline four and they guy totally confused me, so now im sitting on $550
so it bolts on but the cable is too long? could u use ur trotle cable connection unbolt the one off the spoon one bolt on the one from ur old TB...u know what im talking about? Peice that the end of the cable goes into

I think Spoon takes a Type-R TB and bores it out, and it probably uses a smaller throttle rotor than the Type-S TB...you can probably swap the throttle rotor assembly, or you will have to modify the throttle cable and make it shorter.
shoulda had Maxbore do your stock one! would've saved 4 bills

thats what i was tryin to say the throtle rotor...it would make sense that the typeR would have a different part because honda is gay like that on some things

i know a person that did the spoon tb installed had to weld an ~1 inch extension to the arm so that the cable will fit. that is the only way I know.
