if i buy the drop in filter i understand you have to retain some rubber pieces from the stock filter in order for the comptech drop in filter to work ok thats cool


my question is with the comptech filter installed couldnt u then just add the icebox? is it really nesscary to bling the engine bay out with the chrome shortram they offer? im going for a stock look and just wanna keep everything nice and clean looking thanx guys

You can use the comptech filter with just the icebox. You don't have to actually buy their intake system. A lot of the ITR guys just run a stock arm with Comptech filter/Icebox.
